Solar Energy Charging Stations As part of the Green Zone Initiative, Karl Chevrolet is excited to be installing one of the nation's first solar-powered charging stations. This six-car charging canopy will provide enough electricity for 2,250 charges per vehicle annually.
Recycle Oil - Heat Things Up The Service Department here at Karl Chevrolet collects used oil and reuses it two ways. It is burned during the winter months to provide heat throughout the service department shop area, off-setting other heat sources. Collected oil is also used by other local businesses as a heat source during the production phases of their end products including the asphalt on our roads.
Lighting by Motion Many of the rooms and work areas here at Karl Chevrolet have motion-sensor light controls. If you walk past a sensor, the lights go on. And shortly after you leave the area, the lights go off. This is just one more way we try to be environmentally-conscious in our daily operations.
